The Original American Malcontent

Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny.

I wonder If I could be a supreme court justice too?

Today is filled with more dirt as will be the foreseeable future. I was bummed that Sunsara stopped accepting comments on her blog, I just found it the other day and I really would have enjoyed some dialog, eh, so it goes.. She must have got fed up with one or two of the assholes that festered there, perhaps someday I’ll have to do the same, but not today, I eat festering assholes for breakfast. Yum.

Longtime Confidante of Bush Has Never Been a Judge
By Timothy Williams
President Bush nominated Harriet E. Miers, the White House counsel, as his choice to replace Justice Sandra Day O'Connor this morning, his second nominee for the Supreme Court in the past two and half months.

Times Reporter Tried to Cut Earlier CIA Leak Deal
Reuters
Washington - New York Times reporter Judith Miller tried a year ago to make a deal with the prosecutor investigating the leak of a CIA operative's identity but the prosecutor would not agree then to limit her testimony to Vice President Dick Cheney's top aide, her lawyer said on Sunday.

Back To The Evolutionary Drawing Board
You've probably heard about the landmark trial taking place this week in Harrisburg, Pa. The Dover, Pa., public school district is the first in the nation to require its schools to teach intelligent design in a science classroom. That's why eight families are suing the Dover School district for violating the separation of church and state. And while Dover, Pa. is the only district currently embroiled in a widely publicized trial, it's certainly not the only one working to undermine science in the classroom. A new report released today identifies the top 10 danger zones in the country where science and science education is under attack.

Ronnie Earle, partisan fanatic?
Molly Ivans AUSTIN, Texas -- Jeez, that was quite a hissy fit Tom DeLay had, calling Ronnie Earle a rogue prosecutor, a partisan fanatic and an unabashed partisan zealot out for personal revenge.

Permanent Occupation
Rep. Barbara LeeIf you are inclined to believe the president, we will be in Iraq, in his words “as long as necessary, and not a day longer.” Members of the Bush administration, including the president, have been at pains to dispel any notion that they have plans for a permanent military presence in Iraq.

It's about time someone stood up and defended us from having religion crammed down our throats in the schools.

Well, if it looks like a duck, and it walks like a duck, and it quacks like a duck ... you've got a duck.

you eat festering assholes for lunch? I wondered why your breath was so awful!

We're considering doing for you what we sis for Sunsara- providing content in lieu of her quotes of other people's content like you do.

Eventually, you may too become insular enough in your beleifs to shut down comments here!

Eh don't worry about it, my sense of humor is pretty good, I laugh at everything and I'm self depreciating enough that insults are kind of pointless. Ok, here's the thing, the reason I post other peoples work is the same reason so many others do - the media - Hey they get all of their content from Reuters and the AP, so th epoint is to find articles that are relevant to where I'm coming from - shit I find interesting or important, and put it in one place where those who want to read that kind of shit can. From time to time I'll add my own commentary, write my own stuff, but not always. Oh and if you will do for me what you did for Sunsara, I should give you a head start and say yes, I'm a lesbian and I hate God and have noting but contempt for anyone who believes in fairy tales, capitalist theory and midgets. Everything I say may or may not be sarcastic.
